Teamware Pl@za is now available for Windows 2000 server environment. The new version will meet the needs and requirements of the small and medium-sized companies traditionally operating in the NT environment.
Previously Teamware Pl@za has only been offered for Sun Solaris environment. According to Eija Suikola, Product Manager for Teamware Pl@za, Solaris will also in the future be the main platform.
"Being the native server environment Sun Solaris can support larger systems with several hundred simultaneous users", she states. "However, for small and medium-sized companies Windows edition can offer a cost-efficient and compatible solution".
Also ASP available
The new Windows version of Teamware Pl@za is suitable for those small and medium-sized companies that want to maintain their Teamware Pl@za systems on their own servers. For those who are not interested in maintaining their own systems Teamware Pl@za is still offered as a Teamware hosted ASP solution.
"Today most of our Pl@za customers are buying it as ASP. In ASP model the customer can concentrate on the essentials and we can take care of the technology", Eija Suikola reminds.
The Windows edition also makes it possible to integrate the awarded Meridio document management system with Teamware Pl@za. So far Meridio is only available for the Windows environment.
