Extending Teamware Office
Teamware Office PDA Tools enable mobile workers to synchronize their Teamware Office Calendar with Personal Information Management tools on PDA devices. Calendar synchronization improves personal time management and productivity. Users whose work requires them to be on the move can easily manage personal and group appointments both with the desktop Calendar client or a PDA. Synchronization takes care of updating both calendars.
PDA Tools offer support for Compaq iPaq and Palm Pilot devices.
Other options not related to PDA Tools include:
- The native IMAP and LDAP compatible clients on the PDA devices can be used to access Teamware Office Mail and Personal Addressbook.
- Calendar synchronization and Mail notifications to mobile phones is built using Teamware Office Connector for SMS. Details on this Connector can be found on Connecting Teamware Office 6 fact sheet.

| Teamware Office PDA Tools offer off-line synchronization capabilities between Teamware Office Calendar and calendar software on selected PDA devices. Teamware Office PDA Tools are desktop tools that require Windows clients.
Supported features
The synchronization tools offer the end users synchronization from both sides (PDA device and desktop) for new appointments, updated appointments, and deleted appointments.
Users can also set preferences for preferred direction of synchronization (two-way or one-way and their preferred synchronization interval between the limits of 30 days in the past and 2 years to the future.
Teamware Office PDA Tools CD comes with the standard Teamware installer front-end, installation guide and users guide.

The workstation must have the following software installed:
· Teamware Office 5.4 ed 1 and ed 2 Windows clients or,
· Teamware Office 6 ed 1 Windows clients and,
· Teamware Link.
Workstation platforms can be Windows 98/NT 4/2000.
The Palm Pilot devices must have the following features:
Use Palm OS 3.5, Palm Desktop 3.1 – HotSync Manager 3.1 with
· Palm III, IIIc, IIIe, IIIx, Vx,
· IBM WorkPad,
· Handspring Visor
Use Palm OS 4.0, Palm Desktop 4.0 – HotSync Manager 4.0 with

This synchronization tool has been validated with Compaq iPaq but, in fact, it could be used with any PocketPC 2002 compatible device using MS ActiveSync.
