Teamware Mobile Express™ is a complete end-to-end mobile development environment. It consists of advanced and intuitive tools for creating mobile front-ends providing access to existing enterprise applications. The tools are used to select the content and services to be made available for mobile access. The Express runtime environment is an integral part of the Teamware Mobile™ server. The Express Tool is a separately licensed development tool.
Teamware Mobile Express automatically adapts the original content and formats it for easy viewing in mobile devices. All the user needs to do is select the URL of the mobile server. The selected pages are then automatically provided according to the make and model of the mobile device in question. You can have as many mobile services as you need each with a unique URL.
Teamware Mobile Express is a Linux-based service. It can be located in any server that can be accessed with a mobile browser. The technology has been submitted for US and EU patents.
Teamware Mobile Express transforms mobile content provision. With its easy-to-use tools you can extend the use of existing intranet or Internet services for mobile access.
The mobile services provided with Teamware Mobile Express are secure. Authentication guarantees protected access to, for example, corporate intranet services. If necessary, Teamware Mobile also offers a secure SSL tunnel for accessing business-critical data.
Teamware Mobile Express offers advanced Eclipse plug-ins that make creating mobile front-ends easy and fast. Other IDE (Integrated Development Environment) tools will be supported later.
The Eclipse plug-ins provide wizards for navigating web page sources to be displayed in a mobile front-end. This content is graphically selected from the original web page. The selection pattern is extrapolated to include content also from similar locations as in the initial selection.
Teamware Mobile Express provides automatic support ranging from WAP 1.1 devices to the latest smart phones. Furthermore, it supports also other devices such as PocketPC- and PalmOS-based PDA’s.
Updates supporting the newest devices are provided automatically to customers who have a valid Up-to-Date agreement. Introducing new mobile devices into an organization is no longer a problem.
