Falck Sverige AB, the Swedish subsidiary of the world's second largest security services provider Group 4 Falck, has selected Teamware Group to deliver their new intranet solution based on the Teamware Pl@za® technology. Falck's 5000 employees will be offered a virtual meeting place with opportunities for enhanced communication and interaction.

In addition to security services, i.e. alarm services, guarding and cash services, Falck Sverige also provides safety services such as ambulance services and auto assistance. The company is divided into four separate divisions operating all around the country. Due to the versatile operations and geographic dispersion the company needed a common web-based platform for decentralized information distribution.

"Previously we haven't had an intranet solution accessible to all. Even though our people work all around the country we can now provide them with a service channel - a meeting place where people feel like home and become involved in the company operations".

At the beginning the new intranet can be accessed by all the employees within Falck Sverige. In the future also partners will be given access to the selected parts of the system.

Falck's new intranet will consist of a general part with corporate information and separate sites with customized information for all the divisions. At the first stage it will include the following Pl@za functionalities: Teamware Interactive Business Card®, Special Interest Groups, discussions, document archive, messaging and notifications. The solution will be launched during April 2002.
