Fujitsu Invia and Teamware Group Enter into Close Collaboration in Development and Sales of Web Community Solutions

IT service provider Fujitsu Invia and Teamware Group have made an agreement on collaborating in web portal solutions. Fujitsu Invia will outsource the product development of its in-house developed solution, NetCommunity (NC) to Teamware. In addition, Fujitsu Invia will integrate a Teamware Pl@za® -based web communications solution into its outsourcing service. Along with the arrangement eight specialists of Fujitsu Invia will transfer to Teamware. Furthermore, the parties have made an agreement on further development of NC. NC enterprise portal is a database-based, interactive communication channel and databank.

The collaboration enables Teamware Group and Fujitsu Invia to provide their customers with more effective and flexible solutions for web communication. The goal is to build a leading ASP service concept whereby the customer can purchase a communications solution as a plug-in service. The first plug-in solutions have already been implemented for local government.

Through joining forces in development Fujitsu Invia and Teamware significantly strengthen their position in the fragmented web portal market. The companies aim at joint market leadership in Finland.

'Outsourcing the product development of NetCommunity to Teamware is a wise move in seeking know-how synergies. We want to make sure our current and future customers get the most competitive solutions and service concepts you can find on the market. This is a natural arrangement between companies within the Fujitsu family', says Director Jarmo Lönnfors of Fujitsu Invia.

'Teamware's focus is to invest in product development, which is also realised in this agreement. Our success is based on excellent products and state-of-the-art technologies. We are fully prepared to create a leading concept in collaboration with Invia', says President and CEO Rauno Toivonen of Teamware Group.
