Teamware Group, a Fujitsu subsidiary has signed a partner agreement with Silicon Systems, a leading supplier of IT solutions to the graphics, print and publishing industries in the UK. According to the agreement Silicon Systems will sell Teamware Office for Linux in the UK.
Teamware Office for Linux is an ideal intranet solution for small and medium size organizations, which need cost-effective and vendor independent support for common industry standards. It includes facilities for electronic mail, time and resource scheduling, discussion groups as well as document storage and retrieval. The Teamware Office groupware suite has been in the market since 1989 and was ported to Linux platform in spring 2000.
"Being server based and running both in a browser and a client application, Teamware Office for Linux is capable of processing various documents in a very flexible way. It suits well the complicated printing house/publishing environment", says Managing Director Robin Horsley from Silicon Systems.
Silicon Systems focuses on providing highly supported and technically excellent IT solutions for the print, graphics and publishing industries in the UK. The company offers a wide range of hardware designed to manage large numbers of users dealing with volumes of graphics files that demand the highest levels of performance and capacity, as well as software for digital asset management - a software solution for managing and distributing the graphics files across local area networks or the Internet.
