Mobile Use of Teamware Office Now Extended

Teamware Group, leading provider of collaborative software and services, announces the availability of tools for mobile workers using Teamware Office™, a complete set of groupware applications for today's business professionals. The new tools include Teamware PDA Tools and Teamware Connector for SMS.

PDA Tools extends Teamware Office Calendar by offering offline synchronization with selected PDA devices, namely PocketPC-based Compaq iPaq and Fujitsu PocketLoox as well as Palm Pilot. Calendar synchronization improves personal time management and productivity. Users can now easily manage personal and group appointments when on the move. Synchronization takes care of updating both the desktop and the PDA Calendar. Users can also set synchronization preferences that best suit their needs, such as one- or two-way synchronization and its preferred interval. The workstation software requirement for PDA synchronization is Teamware Office 5.4 or 6.0 Windows clients.

Connector for SMS provides Calendar synchronization for users with capable mobile phones. Users can create appointments, both personal and for other users, in the Teamware Office system or the mobile environment. A calendar appointment can be confirmed or rejected with the mobile device. Updates will be made accordingly. Supported phone models include Nokia Communicator 9110(i) and 9210(i), Nokia mobile phones 7110, 6110, 6150, 6210, 6310(i) and 7650.

Teamware Mail enables users to send digitally signed and encrypted mail messages. Teamware Office has a proven track record of being one of the most secure e-mail systems in the market. This is one of the reasons why it is being used by tens of thousands of authorities and organizations all around the world.
