In Teamware Office 6.0, the main emphasis is on new security features and mobile functionalities especially in the WebService.

The WebService user interface has a new, enhanced design with usability improvements and more functionality available for both end users and administrators. The new look & feel has been developed to prepare the user interface design and its usability for further integration into Teamware's interactive web community products. It includes additional customer requests. The browser-based system has now in many ways surpassed the customization and configuration capabilities of the traditional Windows-based groupware version.

Teamware Office 6.0 also enables Teamware Office and Teamware Pl@za® integration. This offers a tailor-made interactive browser-based service with personalized desktop views. Teamware Pl@za is a set of ready-made, modular Internet services integrated into a Java-based platform used for interactive Web sites. "Through the integrated system, users can share their information with the public or access intranet services over the Internet. The total system administration can be handled centrally from one place", continues Halsema.

Teamware Office has a proven track record of being one of the most secure e-mail systems in the market. Secure Mail functionality is now provided as a standard feature of Teamware Office systems. Complemented with the Teamware Secure Mail components (digital signatures, encryption of information and attachments), information in the corporate intra/extra or Internet can be exchanged between their users in a safe manner.
