Modifying calendar appointments and preserving status information

When modifying the Teamware Calendar group appointments the confirmation or other statuses of the recipients are normally reset and these recipients should confirm or reject the appointment request again. This is actually not necessary when the time and date of the appointment stays the same.

Select the Envelope tab in the Appointment dialog where you can check the Preserve old status when the appointment is modified checkbox. If you only change the appointment message or attachments, or add new recipients, the status information of other recipients will be preserved.

Sending PDF document from Adobe Reader

Sending a PDF document directly from Adobe Reader is fully supported in Teamware Office versions 7.2 and 7.3. The PDF file is sent via the normal menu selection File >> Attach to Email.

This function requires the Teamware Office Integration Kit and during the installation the MAPI setting should be selected. The MSI installation package has this automatically set. Also, when installing the Teamware Mail client the setting Set as default email should be checked.

Administrator notification broadcast

There is Teamware Office server command that lets an administrator send an alert to all Teamware client users who are logged in to the Teamware Office system within a single server. The alert will pop up in the Teamware Notifier in the workstation. The command is given as:

to alarm broadcast -s"System will be going down in 5 minutes" -fAdmin

More information about the command options are available in the Administrator’s Guide page 427.
