The annual Teamware Office Feature survey was conducted for the sixth time this June. The survey resulted in 35 different enhancement requests covering 15 items for Mail, 4 for Calendar, 5 for Directory, 1 for Forum, 3 for administration features and 7 items for miscellaneous features.
Three of the Mail related enhancement requests can be addressed with the long-term mail archiving functionality that is being developed for the next version (release target in May 2009). All these items were talking about storing messages for a long time without impact on mailbox size or mail server performance. Mail archiving will store all messages to an archiving server and offers the user access to the archived message directly from the Mail client.
Other features that have already been included in the development plan for the next version are automatic filling of Mail message recipients and free text appointment search for Calendar.
All these enhancement requests will be carefully studied. We will do our best to include as many of them in the next version as possible.
