Teamware participated in the Membership Management Technology Exhibition in September. Over 100 delegates visited the show hosted by Conference House in London. Visitors were largely from membership organizations with some of the UK's largest Trade Unions, Professional Associations and Charities represented. The main requirement was to investigate technology solutions for providing news services to members using the Internet and software solutions for integrating with back-office systems and reducing head office administration. We feel positive that our product Teamware Pl@za is well placed to provide the solutions that this sector is looking for.

We are pleased to announce that the new web site for the FDA has been launched. When logged in, members will now be able to access areas of the site that are dedicated to their specific branch and section and will be able to participate in discussion forums and have access to documents on-line. Members will also be able to change and update their personal information and this is then synchronised with the FDA membership database each evening thus reducing head office adminstration. The FDA will utilise the web site to communicate with their members more frequently and efficiently and have the capability to target certain branches and sections with e-mail messages. The FDA is a trade union and professional body for Britain's senior managers and professionals in public service. The FDA represents its managers in negotiations with management in more than 100 government departments, agencies and public bodies. They also look after their members' professional and employment interests, and act as a powerful voice for public services and the people who work in them.
