You can create more value for your information systems by integrating the Teamware collaboration and communication software with other organizational information systems through SAP Enterprise Portal. Teamware Pl@za alone or Teamware Office together with Teamware Pl@za can be integrated with SAP EP.
The portal offers a single point of access to information needed by each user. Information is collated together into role-based views defined by role and group memberships.
Single sign-on between Teamware products and SAP EP makes login easy for users. They need to remember only one user name and password. Single sign-on is implemented by using the SAP EP Logon Ticket.
Integration between Enterprise Portal and Teamware products is created by Teamware Connector for SAP EP. The connector includes the software enabling single sign-on and iView components for the browser-based user interface. The templates of Teamware Pl@za and Office are adjusted to enable embedding in EP user interface using XML and JSP.
The portal server is available on the supported Pl@za platforms, in both the SAP EP co-hosted and separately hosted environments.
The SAP EP portal clients require Windows and Internet Explorer for both administrators and end users. For details on exact versions and service packs required, see information on SAP EP portal clients. Cookies and JavaScript must be enabled in browsers.
The integration is implemented by using a connector product called Teamware Connector for SAP Enterprise Portal and freely downloadable standard iView components.
The standard Teamware iView components provide user interface elements used in SAP EP to access Teamware products. These components will be downloadable from www.teamware.com/sap.
When the standard integration components are not enough, customer-specific customization is offered as a project-based service. The project-based services include requirements analysis and specification of the customized solution, and customization of the user interface.
