Teamware Group announces the availability of Teamware Office 6.0 ed 2a (Solaris and Windows). This service release introduces a number of new features and includes several fixes, including the following new features:

• MIME Connector has been enhanced. It is now possible to define connection and message type based filters to stop unsolicited commercial mail. UTF7/8 support has been added.
• A new module enables to define Teamware Office to be the mail client that is opened when a mailto link is clicked on a web page.
• New WebService features in Mail and Calendar are introduced. These features include showing mailbox size and usage, mail message size and attachements shown in mailbox list as additional columns, sorting by message size, print option for week and month views in Calendar.
• Teamware Office clients have been modified to support Citrix Metaframe environment.
• A number of fixed features for SecureMail client are also provided.
• A number of improvements to multi organization, Dump tool, OCSP server and IMAP client are included for server side.

Linux version of the enhanced MIME Connector will be distributed via support.teamware.com.

Teamware Pl@za Search 1.2 is the upgraded version of the Search module. Search 1.2 requires Teamware Pl@za 3.5 SR2 or higher for Solaris or Windows 2000. The major new features in Search 1.2 include:

• Fuzzy matching, i.e. the ability to search for words which are similar in spelling to the one supplied
• Single wildcard character search
• Content and author fields added to default search fields in addition to title field
• Customized detailed search templates
• Search results can be ordered by date

Finnish Stemmer 1.1 is the new version of the stemmer which extends the generic Search by providing an analysis algorithm for Finnish language.

Teamware Pl@za Data Objects 1.2 (PDO) allows site developers to create simple database applications using templates and configuration data rather than having to write Java code. The new features in this release include:

• The ability to integrate PDO applications with the Pl@za Search product.
• The ability to integrate PDO applications with the Pl@za Notification service.
