Terminal Management was introduced in v 2.2 Ed 1 for remote installation and upgrade of phone client software as a GSM modem based solution. In Edition 2 this feature is revised to support also operator connections for selected operators. There will also be usability enhancements making the definition and sending of terminal management tasks easier. Phone clients will include some enhancements related to Terminal Management.

A new, alternative method for phone software installation is also introduced in v 2.2 Ed 2. This is a solution for installing the Teamware Mobile clients to a mobile phone from a pre-installed memory card.

Another feature introduced in v 2.2 Ed 1 was the Web Application including access to mail and calendar information with any phone that contains a mobile web browser. The Web Application will be extended to cover access to contact / address book information.

Administrators will be able to define an individual synchronization period for each user. Another new feature for administration is the possibility for the admin to activate debugging for a selected user’s device from the Administration User Interface. The LDAP interface will be extended to support different organizational structures.
