Teamware Office Up-to-Date customers were invited to vote their preferred enhancements to the next Teamware Office releases – this year for the third time. The Teamware Office feature voting took place in June. As before, the survey consisted of two parts. First, there were 18 items from which the respondents could select their top 5 most-wanted items. The second part allowed the respondents to give 5 additional enhancement requests of their choice.
The following items among the given 18 alternatives received highest votes:
- Restore one user’s mailbox
- Export groups from the Personal Address Book
- Sender’s Internet email address is kept within the message also in Offline Mail
- Administrators can send a notice to all currently logged-in users to notify about a service break
- Support for drag and drop to move messages from online to offline
- Make it easier for users to use "Receive notices at this workstation" feature by adding a checkbox to Login dialog.
The respondents produced altogether 37 additional enhancement requests covering both end-user and administrator needs. There were 14 items related to Mail features, 11 items covering enhancements to other clients and the rest of the items covered administration or general features of the product.
The most wanted items are on the list of candidate items for the next releases and they will be discussed in the upcoming product steering group and other meetings where decisions on features of Teamware Office 7.0 ed 2 and Teamware Office 7.1 are made.
