Teamware Office 7.0 Ed 1 for Linux released in September
 

Teamware Office 7.0 Ed 1 for Linux will be made available in the end of September 2005. This release will complete the version 7.0 Ed 1 release. The Solaris and Windows version was released in the end of June this summer.

Teamware Office 7.0 Ed 1 for Linux consists of the same new and enhanced features in the server and WebService as the Solaris and Windows version including such features as

  • revised look and feel of the WebService user interface with a portal like top page and usability enhancements
  • new Presence application that allows users to indicate their whereabouts and availability
  • a new Favorites list that a user can define to include the names of those other users whose Calendar and Presence information they most often need to check
  • an easy-to-use bookmarking feature to create shortcuts to Teamware Office objects
  • email messages can be restored back to Inbox and Outbox from the Wastebasket or user-defined folders
  • administrators are offered several new tools, for example, for password management and for managing auto-forwarding, auto-reply and redirection settings
  • enhancements to the integration with Teamware Mobile.

Teamware Office 7.0 Ed 1 for Linux supports the following Linux distributions:

  • RedHat 3.x ES
  • RedHat 4.0 ES
  • SuSE 9 ES
