The next new version of Teamware Mobile is just about to be released. The release is phased in two editions. Teamware Mobile 2.3 Edition 1 will be released in October and Edition 2 later in the winter. "In Teamware Mobile 2.3 Edition 1, the most important new feature is that it supports Symbian 9 devices with SyncML 1.1 protocol," explains Harri Salminen, Development Manager in Widian.

Version 2.3 Ed 1 brings several new models on the list of phones supported by Teamware Mobile. Nokia phones included are E60, E61, E70, N72, N73, N80, N91, N92, N93, and 6280. Edition 1 supports automatic mail delivery and manual calendar synchronization.

Teamware Mobile 2.3 Ed 2 introduces the new Teamware Mobile clients for Nokia Symbian 9 phones. Later Teamware Mobile editions will add full support for SyncML 1.2 based devices. This includes such phone models as Sony Ericsson P990 and M600.
