Tips for Arranging and Controlling Applications

When the new applications are installed in the Series 60 smart phone the default location for the program icons is the Installations folder. For the more intuitive menu structure, you can move these applications to your own preferred menu folders.

  • Select the phone Menu view and open Options > New Folder. Name it "Mobile" for example.
  • Open the Installations folder and choose the application icon you want to move. Options > Move to folder will move the icon to your new folder. Note that you can also move the icon to the Root folder, the default phone Menu view.

There can be multiple applications open in the smart phone at the same time and here are a couple of shortcuts for controlling these applications.

  • Pressing the Menu key for a second opens up the list of active applications. You can enter the application from this list.
  • Pressing the red End Call key will close any application immediately without going back in the menu tree.
